PolarKnit, great for the outdoors

At PolarKnit our goal is to create wonderfully soft and warm hand-knit products that are durable and great for the outdoors. We began in 2007 as a yarn manufacturing company. After building a strong following for our yarn among hand-knitting and crocheting enthusiasts, we now offer ready-made products to outdoor retailers. PolarKnit yarn combines the softness and durability of fleece with the beauty and charm of hand-knit products.

Tradition & Charm of Hand-Knitting Combined with the Power of Polartec^®

To create our one-of-a-kind hand-knitting yarn, we teamed up with Polartec based in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Polartec is a world-renowned manufacturer and designer of over 350 high-tech outdoor fabrics. Leveraging off Polartec’s experience and history in the outdoor market, we created the world’s first and only weather resistant yarn from Polartec® Wind Pro® fabric . Wind Pro is known for its cozy feel and its tight knit construction blocks four times more wind than traditional fleece. It is also a great choice for people who are allergic or sensitive to wool.
